Doodles

Hi! I'm about to go to work in a minute, but thought I'd sneak this freebie in! Here's a doodle alpha in separate png's that I made a while ago. The font used is Rebekah's Birthday from
Kevin and Amanda. (I am very slightly in love with this font!) I hope you can make use of them. Download at 4shared here.

Just a quick one...

because I'm having a busy old day today!! Here's a new page freebie called Inky Heart, which was inspired by the look of old handwritten paper. It contains 6 different papers, a couple of pieces of wordart and several other elements. There are also a couple of metal effect frames that are not included in the preview.

Download here.

Enjoy!!

And another one..

This mini kit is called Snowy Night (has anyone got any snow yet?!) and it contains 5 very pale papers, a couple of pieces of wordart, a frame and some snow related elements! I was inspired to make this kit after hearing people wonder if we'll get snow where we live this winter. (I live in Cornwall, UK - we never get snow for christmas!)

Get this here.

Enjoy!!

On the mend and celebrating with a freebie wordart set!

Now I have to confess that I just loooved making todays wordart freebies, so I am thinking that if they turn out to be popular than I may make another set! (If anyone has any specific phrases etc that they would like to see in this style of wordart then let me know and I may use them.)

All of the fonts used in this set were downloaded from http://www.kevinandamanda.com/ which has got a section full of the sweetest little handwriting fonts in the world! (Note: You can submit your own handwriting to be turned into a font as well! I've got to do that really soon! See here for more info.)

Rightio here's a preview:

You can download these here

Hahaha I've just realised that the bag background has slipped a bit in the preview! I didn't notice that earlier. Oooops! Note to self: Check these things! hahahaha. (I really must be on the mend, I've got the burst of good spirits - aka the giggles! - that I always get when I'm getting over being poorly!)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this freebie!

Flu(ish) and Freebies!

Has anyone else been suffering from this evil and yukky fluey type virus thats been going around? Ahhh its grim! And of course it had to strike when I'm on a weeks annual leave from work...why does that always happen?!

Anyway, I'm not going to moan anymore, instead I'm going to fight this yukky virus until it runs away in fear and I'm going to start by giving away a few more freebies!

First up is a glittery page kit called Fairy Dust which you can download here.

And next is a lower case handwritten sticker alpha, which you can get here.

And finally is a set called Grungy Dates, which contains all the numbers, days and months of the year as well as a few different years. You can get this here.

I hope these lot are useful to you and that you have fun using them in your layouts!

(And I hope that none of you get this yukky virus thing!!)

I am back!

Wow, I have been away for a very very long time! Well, I havent exactly gone anywhere, not on an extended holiday or anything! (That would be so nice right now though!) Instead I have had a combination of computer issues and full time work which have kept me very busy and away from designing! Anyway, I am back! And I have a few things which I must bring up. Firstly, all of my old download links have expired. This apparently because I haven't been on 4shared for over 30 days, so my account was deactivated. But, I have a whole load of new stuff to give away on here soon, so thats a bonus! However, and this leads me to my next point, I am a busy busy bee these days! I want to keep on doing this designing/digiscraping freebie stuff, but it probably won't be as regular as it was for a while back there. (I hate work!)

Another point that I have to make is that I have decided to give up with the generous designer award blinkie thingie. Simply because I don't have a great deal of time, instead, I'm going to stick to saying thankyou to the designer each time I download something! I must add, though that the next recipients of this award were going to be Jeanie at Scrapdoctor Designs and her daughter Lydia at Lydibug garden, two very generous and talented individuals!! (If either of you happen to read this, you deserve a blinkie so just let me know if you want one!)

Right, I think thats everything covered! Now...on to the freebies! (My favorite part!)
First up is a little mini page kit called My Paper Heart:

And second is a page kit which for some reason I decided to call WOW!! its got a kind of girly, funky feel which to me summed up relaxing and having fun on the weekend!

And finally, here are some nursery rhyme inspired word art stickers, I just love making these! (As you can probably tell by looking at the WOW kit, I have a thing for a sticker effect action!)
Right! Thats it for today, I hope you enjoy them!

Sing me to Sleep kit layout

Heres a layout I have made using my new freebie kit Sing me to Sleep. It should give you an idea of what everything will look like when its put together! The whole kit contains 2 sets of elements, 8 different teal and purple textured papers, a set of alpha (lower and upper case) and a set of numerals, plus 4 different wordarts. I think thats everything!

This kit should coordinate well with alot of the freebies I have given away lately, especially the cardboard/note paper journal tags, the thought bubble tags and possibly also the sugar and spice papers.

I'll try and get as much as possible uploaded today, but some will have to wait possibly, because I have a wedding reception to go to later. I'm really looking forward to it in a lot of ways because they are a great couple and there will be a lot of friends there tonight, but I can't help thinking that I might start to feel like a character in a chick flick because I'm going to have to sit through hearing my ex fella (who's a very talented singer) sing lots of lovely love songs. Grrr!
He's been asked to sing for their first dance and I want to take some photos of that so I can make some layouts for them, so I'm just going to have to grin and bear it! A sense of humour is going to be very important this evening! So, I'm going to put on a pretty dress and a great big smile and have a good night out with lots of friends and one of the loveliest couples in the world!

Anyway, enough yabber (!!) here's the layout I made:

Oh and I know the picture I chose to use isn't exactly the most sophisticated look in the world, but I thought the colours went well and I made this L/O pretty quickly!!

Sing me to Sleep Kit

Here's previews and links for each of the components in the Sing me to Sleep kit. I just remembered that I haven't made previews of the alpha/numerals or word art, but they are the same font and colour as on the tags in the previews, or an example of a piece of word art can be found on the layout in the previous post. Also, please note that because the papers I have made are pretty big files, I have split each of them in half to save time. So, each paper pack has a 'b' file as well, containing another couple of papers. Paper pack one has not uploaded along with the others, so I will have to add the download links for them tomorrow.

Heres the preview for element pack one: These pack contains two different gem 'star' borders, two journal tags and 2 stamp/badges.

You can get this here.

Heres element pack two: This contains two buttons, two bows, two gem rows, two sequin/ cardboard frames, two cloud shapes a star 'mobile' journal tag and a cardboard and notepaper border.

You can get it here.

Here's Paper pack one:

I will have to add the download links for paper pack one tomorrow, as I am running out of time now. Sorry about that.

And Paper pack two:

Download:
Paper 2
Paper 2b

Here are the links for the alpha and numerals:

I hope you enjoy using this kit!! As usual it is personal use only, the terms of use can be found in the paper pack one file which I will upload asap.

Where in the World? Kit

I have designed a freebie kit for everybody today. I've made a lot of papers in pinky and lilac tones and wanted to make something a bit more suitable for masculine layouts. It's in neutral, brown and green tones and has a bit of a travel theme. The kit contains 4 papers, several elements, 4 different frames and a set of alpha/numerals. I think this is the first full kit I have made!! Yay! It's not fantastic because I still have a lot to learn in regards to this designing malarkey, but it was a lot of fun to make and I hope that people can make some use of it.

As usual, here are the previews:

You can get the alpha here.

The elements are here.

The frames can be found here.

And finally, the papers are here.

Enjoy!!

More element freebies!

Personally I'm secretly an avid list maker, so two of todays elements are journalling lists. There is a star and a love heart tag, where you get to fill in resons why you love someone or think they are a star! I have also made a man and woman shaped journal tag.

Here's the previews:

Star Tag

You can get this here.

Heart Tag

You can download this one here.
And finally the his and hers journal Tags:
You can get these here.
I forgot to add a tou file to any of these freebies, but the usual applies: these are for personal use only.
Enjoy!!

My first attempts at making elements...freebies galore!

Lots of freebies today! I've had a few days off so I've had a go at making my own scrapbooking elements. I have made a few cardboard frames, some cardboard and note paper shaped journal tags and a few notepaper speech bubbles. I hope you like them!

I have made the cardboard frames into three different shapes and each shape comes in two different bright pastel colours. I tried to include a colour that would be suitable for either feminine or masculine layouts for each shape.

Heres a preview (Not all shown):

You can download the frames here

Next up is the cardboard and notepaper journal tags which I have made in a few different shapes:

You can download these here.

And finally, I made these notepaper speech bubbles, some of which are a bit crumpled and grungy (I love love love speech bubbles, they make fantastic journalling tags for layouts!):

You can download these here.

Enjoy!!

Sugar and Spice Papers 2

Right, heres a second lot of sugar and spice papers, this time in lilac colours. Just a quick post this evening, as its quite late and i'm a wee bit tired from a cinema and cocktail evening out! I watched Wall-e, which was great fun and my friend and I had a few strawberry - rum - ice cream concoctions aferwards, which were gorgeous!

Heres a preview of the papers:

You can download them here.

Enjoy!

Sugar and Spice Papers

I have made a set of very girly, pink textured papers to give away! This is a set of four, but I enjoyed making them so much that theres a strong chance I'll make some more at some point to go with them! I meant to post them earlier but woke up this morning with a mega craving for rum and raisin ice cream, so I had to go and buy some first!!! Very yummy it was too!

Anyway, heres a preview of the papers:

The download link is here.

And the first award goes to...

Deb at http://thescrappincop.blogspot.com/!

This designer is really pretty amazing, giving away loads and loads of lovely cu freebies on her blog. I made a lot of use of her overlays in the Grunged Up! papers I recently made.

I have searched through a lot of sites for cu freebies, and its very rare that a person gives away so many high quality items for free.

Thanks alot Deb, you're a star! You really help people like me who are new to the digiscrapping/designing world!

If you want to grab one of the blinkies, let me know which one you prefer and I will send you the html code.

Generous Designer Award

I started digiscrapping several months ago when I was still an impoverished student! And as I had never previously scrapped at all and so had no idea how long I would stay interested, I was concerned about splurging my limited budget on supplies. So I was pretty excited when I discovered that there were loads and loads of designers out there who regularly give away quality digiscrapping freebies. (Over the last couple of months, I have become pretty addicted to freebie hunting!) And without the generosity of these designers I never would have had the chance to become so creative and so addicted to this new hobby of mine. Also, I never would have bothered attempting to design my own digiscrapping supplies!

So, I wanted to say a big thankyou to these designers for giving away their talent and time. I have downloaded some truly gorgeous freebies over the last few months. Now ideally, I'd like to give these designers a big bunch of flowers or a box of chocolates, but obviously thats not very practical!! (Imagine if we could one day email real things to each other!!) So instead I've made a couple of blinkies for them to choose from and I will nominate one designer every few weeks for the blinkie thankyou award!!

If anyone knows of any generous designers that they would like to see recieve this award please let me know!

To the designers: If I have nominated you for this award please let me know which blinkie you prefer (they are on the right under Designer Award Blinkies) along with your contact details and I will send you the html code!!

Grunged Up! paper pack 2

Yep I have made yet more grungy papers! It seems that this blog is turning more and more into a freebie site! Its so much fun making stuff that I can't seem to stop!
Here's a preview:

Also included, but missing from the preview (because i'm a forgetful kind of person!) is a semi transparent pinky overlay.

Once again I have split the papers into two parts which I have labelled 3 and 4 because they continue from the previous paper pack.

Part three
Part four

Enjoy!!

Grunged Up! Paper Freebie

Well I have been working hard at the moment, lots of shifts at the care home I work at now that I have finished uni. But have a couple of days off now so have got some time to be creative!!
I have made a set of six grungy papers for people to play with. Lots of bright-ish colours and grungy edges. I loved making these, so might make a few more to go with them over the next couple of days and maybe some elements as well!

Here's a preview:

I have split it into two parts because the files are quite large.

Part one contains: the pinky graph paper, the blue/grey argyle paper and the green and purple stripy paper.

Part two contains the pinky argyle paper, the blue stripe paper and the green graph/stitch paper.

Here are the links:

Part Two

The brushes used to create the grungy effects are available at: http://www.brushes.obsidiandawn.com/ and there is also a great tutorial on this site about how to install these brushes for use in photoshop programs which is available here: http://www.brushes.obsidiandawn.com/tutorials/installing/index.htm.
